Jill Rocca

Board Member

Jill is an occupational therapist. Her background includes physical rehabilitation and community-based practice, robotics, and animal-assisted therapy. She currently works part-time at Tufts University coordinating occupational therapy admissions and recruitment outreach.

As a former employee, Jill is very familiar with the work of Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers and is very excited about the future direction of the organization.

When working at Helping Hands, Jill was a placement specialist for five years. Her role involved screening applicants and traveling to each monkey placement.

On each placement, Jill would work with the recipient to adapt and modify their home environment so that they could have maximum participation in the training/care process with their service monkey.

She has countless stories from each placement and loved working with each recipient to help them become as independent as possible within their own environment.

Jill looks forward to using her history at Helping Hands to help propel the organization forward into the new area of technology.

She received both her post-professional masters and doctoral degrees from Tufts University Department of Occupational Therapy
