Becky was one of the favorites among the volunteers and staff here at The Monkey College.
Despite being more than 39 years old, this little lady was quite energetic, active, and attention-seeking. She definitely ruled the roost! Alison, her trainer, speaks fondly of the days that she spent with Becky:
She was always up for playing games and making us laugh hysterically.
I was so lucky to handle her myself - she was such a sweetheart. I will miss her sweet face and our snuggle sessions. She will always be remembered fondly at the Monkey Living Center.
You might notice that Becky’s markings looked a bit different than a lot of our other monkeys. She was a Cebus Albifrons, More commonly known as a white-fronted capuchin. This species generally has a light brown back and a white underside.
