Meet Our Monkeys

We support all our service monkeys for their entire lives.

Becky: "Queen" of The Monkey College!

Becky was one of the favorites among the volunteers and staff here at The Monkey College and her markings looked a bit different than a lot of our other monkeys. She was a Cebus Albifrons, more commonly known as a white-fronted capuchin. This species generally has a light brown back and a white underside. Our oldest monkey in 2021, she sadly passed away in April.

Allison and Becky1Despite being more than 39 years old, this little lady was quite energetic, active, and attention-seeking. She definitely ruled the roost! Alison, her trainer, speaks fondly of the days that she spent with Becky:

She was always up for playing games and making us laugh hysterically. I was so lucky to handle her myself - she was such a sweetheart. I will miss her sweet face and our snuggle sessions. She will always be remembered fondly at the Monkey Living Center.

Becky loved her baths and would sometimes start to fall asleep in the warm water. We take pride in knowing that Becky lived a very long, healthy life and that she touched so many with her delightful personality. You will be missed, Becky.

There are many monkeys like Becky living out their Golden years at the Monkey Living Center in Boston. Make a gift to care for them as they have cared for so many.
