Personal Information

Why does Envisioning Access ask for my information?

• distribution of publications and informational materials, by mail and/or electronically

• site personalization

• content submissions, community postings (i.e., forums or bulletin boards), comments and suggestions, or voting

What information does Envisioning Access collect?

Envisioning Access collects information in two ways:

1 – Information you provide

Online: By donating to Envisioning Access or signing up for email updates, the information you volunteer includes your name, address, and email address. Envisioning Access will send regular communications, as detailed on the online sign-up form if you elect to receive them.

Offline: When donating offline, you have the option to share your email address, physical address, and telephone number with Envisioning Access. Doing so allows you to receive communications you have elected to receive from Envisioning Access.

2 – Information Envisioning Access collects
Envisioning Access uses Google Analytics, Google AdWords conversion tracking, and Google Website Optimizer to assess its website’s performance and content. This involves the use of “cookies,” or simple text files stored by a visitor’s web browser, to collect anonymous data about visitors to and usage of Envisioning Access’s website. This information, which is not associated with a visitor’s personal identity, includes pages viewed, date and time of visit, browser/technology type, donation revenue, conversion rate, geographic region, and marketing attributes as defined by Google.

Envisioning Access may add information from publicly available sources including data from, for example, reputable newspapers, or Social Media sites like LinkedIn or Twitter, to your file. This is done in order to manage our communication effectively and to give you the best experience by tailoring our communication according to your interests.

Does Envisioning Access use cookies?

A “cookie” is a tiny element of data that our site can send to your browser, which may then be stored on your computer’s hard drive.

If you are concerned about your privacy and the use of cookie technology on the Envisioning Access website, you may set your web browser to notify you when you receive a cookie. You may also set your browser to refuse cookies the Envisioning Access site attempts to send you. Using these settings or declining to accept cookies from Envisioning Access may limit the functionality we can provide when you visit this site.

How will Envisioning Access use the information I provide?

Whenever Envisioning Access asks you to provide personal information via this website or in an e-mail, Envisioning Access will make reasonable efforts to make the purpose of that request clear. If you do not want this information to be collected or used by Envisioning Access, you can simply choose not to provide that information or otherwise “opt out” of the action or request for information. Under certain circumstances, opting out may prevent your participation in activities for which personal information is needed, such as involvement in the distribution of publications, action alerts, notices of volunteer opportunities, supporter benefits, community events, etc. Envisioning Access makes every effort to ensure the secure collection and transmission of sensitive user information using industry-accepted data collection and encryption methodologies.

We will not sell, share or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by Envisioning Access, both online and offline, on any Platform (“Platform”, includes the Envisioning Access website and mobile applications), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.

Security

How do I know my credit card information is secure?

Envisioning Access uses secure server software (SSL) that is the industry standard and is among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including your credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the internet.

Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. In the event of an unauthorized charge to your credit card, you must:

• write to the creditor at the address given for “billing inquiries,” not the address for sending your payments, and include your name, address, account number, and a description of the billing error,

• send your letter so that it reaches the creditor within 60 days after the first bill containing the error was mailed to you.
