Your gift is an investment in the most extra-ordinary human-animal partnership and will immediately change a life or continue to have an impact throughout a lifetime. In order to provide people with Helping Hands monkeys and services at no charge we rely on the generous donations of people like you. Support for Helping Hands comes from individual donors, foundation grants, and corporate support.

Helping Hands is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our Federal Identification Number is #13-3146988.

There are several ways to give:

Here are some examples of what your gift can achieve:

  • $25 Provides fruit, vegetables, and training treats for a monkey in training
  • $50 Provides toys, blankets, stuffed animals for a monkey in training
  • $250 Provides monkey chow for one monkey for one year
  • $500 Provides an equipment upgrade for a long-term monkey helper placement
  • $750 Funds customized adaptations of a recipient's wheelchair
  • $1,000 Provides specialized equipment for a monkey and a recipient (e.g., laser pointer, reward dispenser, task or adaptive equipment)
  • $9,000 Underwrites the basic training for one monkey
  • $15,000 Funds the critical placement week and follow-up support of a new monkey helper placement (both the monkey helper and the recipient person are trained together in the home environment with intensive support provided during the initial months of the placement)
  • $38,000 Sponsors a monkey up to the placement cycle with a disabled person

ONLINE CONTRIBUTIONS

Donating online is simple. You can ensure Helping Hands is able to continue training and placing monkeys by making a secure online donation with Give Direct or PayPal. Your direct contribution is a wonderful way to honor a family member or pet, or to pay tribute to someone special. Charitable foundations and corporate giving are important sources of support for Helping Hands. COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGN (CFC)

Helping Hands is proud and grateful to participate in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). The Combined Federal Campaign promotes Federal employees' on-the-job philanthropy. In the fall of 2005, Helping Hands joined a new federation: The Human Care Charities of America. Please look for us there, and use our CFC donor number #11196.

UNITED WAY CAMPAIGNS

Although Helping Hands is not listed as a member of the United Way, employees can still donate to us through the United Way. When filling out your United Way donor card, simply write-in Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers for the Disabled in the donor-option line, or give our Federal Identification Number #13-3146988 on your pledge card.
