Anne has always enjoyed working with people and helping them get the support and care they need to live a happy, fulfilled life. Trained as a social worker, Anne has acquired the tools to work with people with various abilities and strengths who are looking to live life to their full potential. Whether it has been working as a case manager, options counselor, with caregivers, older adults, or people living with disabilities Anne states: “I feel that what I do is truly rewarding work and I’m grateful that people allow me to be a part of their journey. It’s important to take in the whole picture of the person‘s life, find out who the caregivers are, and what needs all of these people have. Support is really needed for both the care recipient and the caregiver so that hopefully a good balance of care needs and respite is met for all.”
She joined Helping Hands staff as a Social Worker in January 2015.
“Coming to Helping Hands feels like a natural extension of what I have been doing. I’m excited to be a part of this fantastic and unique resource that can bring so much happiness, support, and increased independence to people’s lives. There are many people who can really benefit from having a service monkey—it can dramatically improve their quality of life and I look forward to working with our applicants and recipients.”
